I hate flying. Honestly, I sit rigid through every single flight! They are natural, and can even be used before driving tests etc. A few drops on the tongue every now and again, and I've even managed to get in a helicopter. I was very sceptical when I first tried them, but they work wonders. Give them a go and think of all the great things you're going to do when you get there. You will do Kate, I took it on my last flight thinking I would need it but it never came out of my bag!

Another thing to remember, long haul flight planes are so big and sturdy with comfy chairs you'll feel very safe indeed, try to focus on what is happening rather than how you are feeling, works wonders! I disklike it and in fact when we went to new york ended up in tears when we hit turbulance I would advise getting a book and reading it through there are some on amazon and it talks you through the noises and everything so you dont worry when you hear something weird.

My husband went to uni and learnt all about forces to fly etc and explained to me why turbulance happens and stuff like that and it did calm me down. I hate flying and am always miserable on a flight. I find the rest of the passengers looking calm and sleeping, and I'm twitching like mad. And no common distraction has ever helped me a bit. Even valium doesn't work. But I know logically it is the safest way to travel, and if you want to see places, it's the only way to go. So just know you are not alone, and don't let your fear prevent you from getting on the plane.
